Custom Thin-Gauge ESD Trays Built Around Your Components
Blue Ridge Thermoforming designs and thermoforms custom thin gauge ESD trays that hold your exact components. Each pocket is sized to your part, and each tray is formed in the static-control material your process calls for.
Request a QuoteCustom ESD trays from Blue Ridge Thermoforming protect sensitive electronics from receiving through assembly, storage, and shipment. Pockets are tooled to your part. The tray is a handling tool, sized to your count and your line.
Material choices and protection levels are covered on ESD and anti-static packaging. The electronics trays hub lists CPU, memory, drive, and optics trays. Matrix component trays cover IC grids. This page is about the tray: pocket geometry, stack design, and how it runs in automation.
Pockets engineered to your part
Part-specific pockets
Pockets tooled to your part geometry for consistent orientation and pick-and-place access.
Counts that match the line
Pocket counts and layouts set to your batch size, line rate, and pack-out.
Nest-and-stack or stack-only
Dense storage and shipping designs, including interlocking features for transit.
Automation-ready trim
Inline thin-gauge thermoforming produces consistent wall thickness and clean, repeatable trims so trays run in robotic and automated handling.
Static-control material options
- Static-dissipative materials safely bleed off charge. These static dissipative thermoformed trays release charge gradually.
- Conductive trays for electronics give the highest protection for the most sensitive parts.
- Anti-static plastic trays limit charge buildup during handling.
- Clear or black static-dissipative options for inspection and grading.
- ESD-grade PET and rPET, anti-static HIPS, and specialty blends.

Built for handling and automation
- Consistent orientation for robotic or manual pick
- Lids, covers, and interlocking features when parts must stay put in transit
- Reusable thin-gauge designs for repeated handling
- Recyclable PET and rPET options where the ESD grade allows

Thin-Gauge ESD Tray FAQs
What's the difference between static-dissipative and conductive trays?
Conductive materials move charge fastest and give the most protection. Dissipative materials release charge more gradually. We help match the material to how sensitive your components are.
Can you review an existing tray?
Send a sample tray or drawing. We will review the pocket fit and stacking and quote a tray built to that geometry.
Can trays be reusable?
Yes. Thin-gauge trays can be designed for repeated handling, and recyclable PET and rPET options are available.
Quote a custom ESD tray
