Today's server CPUs are far larger than desktop chips, and footprints change with every generation. We tool pockets from your sample or package dimensions for Intel Xeon Scalable packages, including LGA4189, LGA4677, and newer, and for AMD EPYC packages, including SP3, SP5, and newer, so each processor sits flat, held in place, and protected.
Pockets sized to server-class packages
Xeon and EPYC footprints
Pocket length, width, and depth follow the package you send. An LGA4677 tray, an LGA4189 tray, an SP5 CPU tray, or an SP3 layout is tooled to that generation, including the larger heatspreader and substrate of current server parts.
Pin, pad, and lid protection
Pocket geometry keeps contact surfaces off the tray walls. Lid and cover-plate designs keep processors from shifting in transit, including base-and-lid sets when a lot moves between buildings.
Counts that match the lot
Choose the count per tray that fits your lots, whether that is a few large EPYC-class packages or a denser layout for smaller Xeon parts. Trays stack and interlock so lots stay together in cartons and on carts.
Mixed generations when footprints allow
We design a layout for one package or for a family of similar footprints. Tell us which generations share a tray and which need their own pocket so pins and pads stay isolated.
Static-control materials
- Static-dissipative or conductive materials protect processors from ESD during pull, test, grading, and shipment.
- Clear or black static-dissipative options are available when a lot needs visual inspection, alongside conductive materials for the most sensitive parts.
- ESD-grade PET and rPET, anti-static HIPS, and specialty blends selected for the handling environment.
- Thin-gauge trays are reusable and durable for repeated handling, stacking, and shipment.

Why a custom server CPU tray
When servers are retired, CPUs are among the most valuable parts pulled. A stock tray sized for an older desktop package leaves a Xeon Scalable or EPYC part loose, and loose parts lose grade. Custom trays keep each processor oriented, counted, and protected.
Refurbishers and OEM lines use the same approach. Send a sample processor or a package drawing, name the count per tray, and say whether you need a lid, a cover plate, or an open stack. We engineer the tray, fit-check it with your parts, and run production in Greenville, SC.
